Smaller Scholars "Kids Paint" After School Art Program
2019-2020 School Year
Week 1 - Acrylic Pour (the science experiment)
Acrylic Pour is known as the science experiment in our studios. We will provide two different formulas of liquids that turn to gas once they hit acrylic paint, and other liquids which will make the acrylic paint high flowing.We teach two different formulas for the children experiment on two different canvas’.
Week 2 - Acrylic Painting on Canvas
Acrylic painting on canvas will explore the primary colors, blending to create secondary and tertiary colors, drawing with a paint brush, and creating dimension with colors.
Week 3 - Alcohol Inks on tiles
Alcohol inks are an acid-free, highly pigmented, and fast drying medium to be used on non-porous surfaces. We paint on ceramic tiles of various sizes, coffee cups, tea plates, and Yupo Paper, using cotton balls, Q-tips, and other household items to create our own unique designs.
Week 4 - Watercolor Basics
We will explore the color wash technique, and practice layering light, medium, and dark colors to create dimension.
Please pack snacks and beverages as this is not included in our price! Painting supplies and instructions will be provided to your child.

Every Monday (except Holidays) at Smaller Scholars starting November 11th, 2019 and ending May 25th 2020. From 315-515p for children ages 6 and up.
Materials: $60 Per Semester, Monthly Fee: $120 Per Student
