Frequently Asked Questions
What goes on during your camp?
Our day commences with a two hour art class, followed by an hour of yoga, and then lunch at 12P. Half day participants will leave at 1230p. PARENTS, Please pack lunch and one snack for your half day and full day student. This is not included in our price. One healthy snack is provided in the afternoon to all students. If your child is a picky eater, please send two snacks with their lunch.
Art instructions, supplies, one healthy snack, and water are included in our price. After lunch we offer indoor recess through board games, puzzles, coloring, reading, etc. If the children ask for outside time, we walk the property or do yoga outside. Board Games are offered during breaks to encourage teamwork and collaboration.
Our afternoons begins with art history including an art project. The participants will design their artwork based on the artist they learned about. Following art history and the project, we will move into the Alternative Art Hour (AAH). AAH is offered to full day students only. To participate in this activity you must sign up for full day. AAH includes air dry clay creations, crafting, origami, healthy eating and Ayurvedic tea making, animal awareness, plant talk, and more.
What are the ages of children who attend?
Our camp is geared for children ages 5-12. We request children ages 5-6 sign up for half day sessions. Children ages 7 and up are welcome to sign up for full day.
We offer many exciting projects for your child to explore tailored each week to the participants attending. For those with some art experience, we will provide more challenging objectives for them to accomplish. The younger individuals will receive the basic objectives to accomplish each art project. Each week is programmed to the experience of the attendees. This means if your child is attending our camp for 3 weeks, he/she will have three weeks of different projects to complete. Many students return each week, and each month, keeping us teachers on our toes with the curriculum.
How many students attend each week?
Our studio places a limit of 20 kids per week (15 kids full day students, 5 half day students) to provide a more concentrated learning experience.
Important Information on Food & Snacks in our studios
The children use a lot of brainpower during the day and require fruits and veggies to sustain themselves until 430p. This applies to half-day students as well. Please make sure to pack a healthy lunch and one snack for your child (not included in our price). This year we will provide one healthy snack in the afternoon to your little ones. If your child has specific food allergies, we ask you to send them with two snacks they are able to eat. Candy, Cookies, Chocolate, and soft drinks ARE NOT healthy snacks and NOT ALLOWED in our studios. These items cause sugar burnout and fatigue. We will take any of these items and throw them out when found. Please respect our request to encourage healthy eating habits in all children.Who are the teachers at your summer camp?
