Join us for our Spring Break Art Camp at the Art Cellar of Houston beginning Monday, March 13th through Thursday, March 16th. We will provide step-by-step art instructions to help children (age 5 and up) create different pieces of artwork each day. This page is to reserve your child's place in our spring break camp.
Camp Hours:
Monday through Thursday
Full-Day (830a to 430p): $250 Per Child
Doors open at 830a for you to drop your child off and sign in.
Registration: Each child must be paid to enter. You will receive an auto-receipt in your email! All painting supplies and instructions are included in our price
We will show the children how surgeons wash their hands. They will be required to wash their hands in this manner when they arrive, at both snack times, before and after lunch, and for the alternate art hour.
ALL children are required to clean up after themselves following each project. These duties include picking up after each art project, wiping down tables, sweeping, wiping the games they play with, etc.
We will host 20 kids this week at our Spring Break Art Camp. Each table will have two children to work from each day. We sanitize our studio completely at the end of each day with a combination of Melaleuca Disinfectant and Thieves Multipurpose Cleaner.
The children attending the Spring Break Camp will participate in a variety of activities daily. The morning begins with a 2-hour art class, followed by a 1-hour yoga class, and then lunch. After lunch and board games, the children will have one hour of alternative arts and crafts, followed by a two-hour art history lesson and project.
OUR DAY
Monday - Acrylic Painting
Tuesday - Sketch / Pastel
Wednesday - Watercolors / Mosaics
Thursdays - Pour Painting /
Gelli Printing
We focus our days on learning from each other, to work as a team through various artistic projects. The participants will design art projects based on the artist and art medium they learned about that day.
Board Games are included during breaks to encourage teamwork and collaboration.
Food & Snacks
The children use a lot of brainpower during the day and require fruits and veggies to sustain themselves until 430p.
Please make sure to pack a healthy lunch and two snacks for your child as lunch is not included in our price.
Candy, Cookies, Chocolate, and soft drinks are NOT healthy snacks and NOT ALLOWED in our studios. These items cause sugar burnout and fatigue. We will take any of these items and throw them out when found.
Water is available at our studio for all children.
TEACHERS:
Yoga and Art Lessons (Mon through Fri) by Sarah B. Lowe, Studio Owner
Assistant Teacher: Ms. Farah
Policy on Refunds: We are a small locally owned and operated business. Your registration for this camp allows our business to remain open. While we do not offer refunds, please look at having us schedule you for 2 private lessons (based on availability) in person or through zoom.
