Step into a creative atmosphere! Bring a friend, unwind and express yourself!

This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to begin silk painting! Create delicate and dynamic patterns of color and texture on your silks and leave with a small frame able silk painting and silk scarf - perfect to wear or to give as a gorgeous gift.
Explore the simple, yet exquisite technique of painting on silk in this two hour workshop.  Learn the Serti method in which you first trace the outline of your chosen design with gutta resist.  Choose a pattern from my collection, or design your own.  Then touch the colors on with a brush and watch them flow, blending in natural - and sometimes mysterious - ways on their own. 
Completing an original 17"x 17" natural silk scarf will teach you the basic skills of design, color mixing, blending and texturizing. This technique is simple enough for absolute beginners, yet is also an exciting way for more experienced painters to transfer their talents to fabric. 

All supplies : silk scarf, silk paints, brushes, frames, gutta, and fabric pencils will be provided.

Time: 7-9pm, doors open 30 mins prior to set up and sign in! 

Breaks are every 30 minutes, to refill and socialize. 

Registration: Each person must be paid to enter, no unpaid guests allowed. Advance online sign-up only, you will receive an auto-receipt in your email, no need to print out, you will be on the roster!

Ages: 18 and up only, we ID!

Supplied: all art materials and tools, excellent art instruction, ice, cups, paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils, wine openers. We use recyclable materials but you are welcome to bring your own wine glass, etc! Complimentary, cold bottled water in every class!

Bring: your favorite adult beverages and snacks.
