This corporate painting class in Houston features step-by-step instruction to help individuals create four (4) fun artistic alcohol ink creations on plastic ornaments. Turn your holiday ornaments into works of art! Decorate for yourself or give as a gift. Bring your favorite adult beverages and snacks! A great, interactive social environment where no two paintings are the same! #artishappiness #makeityourown
Breaks are every 30 minutes, to refill and socialize.
Time: 4-6p, doors open 30 mins prior!
Registration: Each person must be paid to enter, no unpaid guests allowed. Advance online sign-up only, you will receive an auto-receipt in your email, no need to print out, you will be on the roster!
The art supplies included for each participant are:
One reusable Art Cellar Houston canvas tote
Four (4) Plastic Ornaments for painting
One (1) Compressed Air Can
One (1) Paint brush
One (1) container Alcohol Blending Solution
Three (3) containers of Alcohol Ink Paint. Tenants may choose from the following color options:
Option 1: White, Gold, Red
Option 2: White, Gold, Dark Green
Option 3: White, Light Blue, Dark Blue
Option 4: White, Blue, Pink
Kits will be brought to Four Oaks Place for this in-person class
Class Layout: We begin class teaching about the supplies and their use followed by a show and tell presentation on creating an abstract alcohol ink painting on two ornaments. We will show each participant how the ink works alone and with the blending solution. This is followed by a mini-break. In the second hour, we will guide the employees step by step to create detail on the ornaments (such as names or phrasing).We will engage with participants through both hours to ensure their success.
Kamar Varnish is recommended to seal your creations after the alcohol ink paint has set for 24 hours. This product is NOT included in your kit. You can find Kamar Varnish to seal your ornaments at Hobby Lobby, Jerry's Artarama, Texas Art Supply, or online.
