Studio Maintenance and Clean Procedures
We aim to stop the spread of this virus before it enters our studios. Please DO NOT send your child with sniffles, a cough, fever, or diarrhea to our studios. If we become aware of any of these symptoms we will call you to pick up your child, without refund. We are thankful our studios have not been infected throughout the pandemic and shutdown, and believe it is because of our strict policy to protect everyone. We appreciate your respect for our decision.
We will show the children how surgeons wash their hands. They will be required to wash their hands in this manner when they arrive, at both snack times, before and after lunch, and for the alternate art hour.
ALL children are required to clean up after themselves following each project. These duties include picking up after each art project, wiping down tables, sweeping, wiping the games they play with, etc.
CLASS RULES:
Our studio and camps focus on four rules the children must comply with throughout their attendance (1) Be Kind (2) Be Respectful (3) Be Careful (4) Be Happy.
Please make sure your child is aware of these rules before their arrival. Our staff is instructed to speak with the parents of those children who fail to comply with these rules. Our teachers and staff greatly appreciate your support to review these rules and ensure your child is aware of our guidelines. Our role as teachers is to work as a team with each of you. Any tips you can provide our staff to help us better communicate with your child is greatly appreciated. Team Work Makes the Dream Work!
We will continue to host 23 kids each week at our summer art camp. Each table will have two to four children to work from each day. We sanitize our studio completely at the end of each day with a combination of Melaleuca Disinfectant and Thieves Multipurpose Cleaner.
The children attending the Mindful Movement Summer Camp participate in a variety of activities daily (each week). For full day attendees, our morning begins with a socratic discussion from 830-9a on Mindfulness, Kindness, Studio Maintenance, and responsibilities. Afterward we will have a 2-hour art class, followed by a 45-minute yoga class, and then lunch. Half-day students will leave at 1230P. After lunch and board games, the children will have a one-hour crafting session, followed by a two-hour art history lesson and project. Half-day participants will have a two-hour art class every morning followed by one hour of yoga. They will go home at 1230P. Please remember to pack a lunch for your half-day little one as lunch is from 12-1230P.

FOOD & SNACKS
NO Candy, Cookies, Chocolate, and soft drinks are ALLOWED in our studios. These items cause sugar burnout and fatigue. We will take these items away and throw them out when found.
The children use a lot of brainpower during the day and require fruits and veggies to sustain themselves until 430p. This applies to half-day students as well.
Please make sure to pack a healthy lunch and one snack for your child as this is not included in our price.
We will provide one healthy snack each afternoon to your little one. If your child has specific food allergies or is a picky eater, please send two snacks they are able to eat for both snack breaks.
Water (hot & cold) are available at our studio for all children.
